Bugnes


Pretty donuts golden wish, it's the bugnes! A treat for gourmands, young and old.

Ingredients:

  • 250g of flour
  • 60 g softened butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C. orange blossom water
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 5 g of fine salt
  • icing sugar
  • 1 liter of cooking oil
  • absorbent paper

Preparation:

Pour the flour, salt and sugar into a salad bowl. Mix and dig a well in the center. Pour eggs, orange blossom water and butter cut into small pieces.

Knead until you get a smooth paste. Collect it in a ball, cover and let rest 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Take out the dough and roll it in a layer of 3 mm thick on your floured table. With the tip of a knife, cut it into rhombuses, hearts ... or strips to wiggle or not in loops.

In the oil heated to 150 ° C (it must not smoke), throw the buggies 4 by 4. Turn them as soon as one side is golden, put them on the paper towel, sprinkle with icing sugar.
